Discover the Joy of Doula Support
Encouraging intentional transistions for families in the Greater North Austin area
Get to know Jeni
I’m Jeni - a certified postpartum doula, fitness and wellness coach, mama to Lyon and Lola, wife to Matt, lover of coffee, kitchen dance parties, sunny day runs, and intentional living. After finding love in a Colorado snowstorm in 2009, Matt and I planted roots in Texas and started building a life full of love, community and resilience.
Motherhood has taught me more than any course ever could - including how deeply beautiful and wildly hard it can be. When our daughter was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2022, our world shifted completely. Eighteen months of treatment challenged every part of our family - our expectations, our strength, our faith, our sense of “normal.” When she rang the bell cancer free in September 2024, we felt both relief and a profound reset. That experience taught me what it means to walk through the hardest seasons with intention, care and unwavering support.
It also reshaped my “why.”
I became a doula because I know how magical, overwhelming, and deeply transformative the transition into parenthood can be - and how the right support can turn uncertainty into confidence and overwhelm into connection. I’ve lived the deep gratitude and deep fatigue. I’ve sat in hospital rooms, held hands through uncertainty, and I’ve learned that even the hardest moments are softened when you don’t have to face them alone.
BirthStrong Collective exists to walk alongside families through these thresholds:
to celebrate the joy,
to soften the overwhelm
to empower you with confidence, and
to make you feel seen, supported, and strong in your new life as a parent.
Whether it’s through hands on postpartum care or just being a steady presence in the early days, my mission is simple: to help you move through these moments with intention, strength, and love.
Provide evidence based, compassionate guidance on newborn care, feeding rhythms, and soothing techniques - tailored to your families needs.
Empower parents by building confidence in your parenting skills and instincts.
Nurture the new family unit - offering emotional presence, active listening, and gentle reassurance.
Care for your baby so you can rest, shower, eat, or bond with your family.
Support feeding goals (checking latch, pumping routines, bottle feeding), alongside resources and referrals for specialized expertise.
Process birth experiences and normalize the full spectrum of emotions and adjustments that come with bringing home a baby.
Provide referrals and connections when needs go beyond the scope of doula care (like lactation consultants, pelvic health specialists, or pediatric support).
How I Support You
As a postpartum doula, I do not:
Stay awake all night on shift. - overnight care is provided, and I rest when baby rests.
Provide medical or clinical care - doulas are non-medical professionals
Act as a lactation consultant - I will offer education, encouragement and help you connect with specialists when needed.
Make decisions for you - I equip and support you in making confident choices that fit your family.
